This trip was a dream come true. I had goals and dreams of being on the world team representing the United States with my little girl Shredder. It still chokes me up that I was able to realize my dream with the most precious gift Shredder gave me... her son...Masher.
Masher and I were both just a tad wound tight going into the competition :)
I am very pleased with our runs and I could not be happier with my little dog. I on the other hand had a little bobble in a couple of the runs.... even after my little oopsies Masher had incredibly beautiful runs.... and our little oopsies were REALLY fast!!!
Masher and I won a gold medal and it was a very moving experience to be on the podium with my little dog as our national anthem was being played..... the victory lap was pretty fun too!
All in all it was a fabulous experience and I now have a better idea of what we need to work on and I really enjoyed the whole team experience and getting to bond with the rest of the great handlers and dogs on the USA team. Great job everyone!!!
Here are a few candids of our trip... I am looking forward to seeing and blogging all the great photos Karen M. took!
The team stayed at this hotel in Clevedon. The view was spectacular.

Team USA in a little pow wow
It was really cool that my Aunt Sandy and sister Denise flew out to watch us run. We had fun touring around with them an extra day because their flight was canceled due to the volcanic ash. Thank you both it meant alot to me having you there!!!
The country side is covered with rape seed
Mashy got to go into the Abbey
He also got to go into Wooky Hole and see the cave!
He REALLY hates when we make him take these types of photos!!
Driving in England was a trip!!! TINY lanes and a million roundabouts!!! It was a little scary driving on the left side of the road steering from the right side!!! We did do some weed/hedge wacking on some of the smaller roads :)
In Wales we went to the coolest little medieval village
We have never stayed in a B & B before. We found a beautiful country B & B called Needlehole Forge in Cheltenham to stay for a night.
Mashy and the resident pups from Needlehole romping around
I love all the pictures and especially the one of Mashy in the fish.....whatever those are called!!! Mermaids!!!!! Congratulations on your Gold Medal!!! Wowzie!!!!! Can't wait to see more!!
